Jeff obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in history in political science. From there, he worked in the corrections and probation field for a few years before obtaining his real estate license. While working in real estate, Jeff was co-owner of a heavy equipment construction company. When the economy turned in 2008, he found himself looking for another career field and was fortunate enough to be hired by Federated Insurance and found his calling. Federated Insurance is widely known to have one of the most robust training departments in the industry. After a couple of years, Jeff was presented with an opportunity to enter the independent agency world by becoming the exit strategy for Richard Coley and Coley Insurance & Realty. Jeff joined Coley Insurance in 2010 and in 2016 he purchased the agency.
Jeff quickly discovered the independent agency space offered many more tools to be able to adequately protect his clients. While continuing to grow, Jeff purchased another agency, Ricketson Insurance, located in Thomson, Georgia in 2020. This acquisition provided more carriers, a larger footprint and even more insurance expertise with the staff that came on board. Jeff is fortunate to have an amazing team of agents and customer service people where they continue to grow and expand their footprint.
Jeff is married to Tonya, and they have an amazing son, Jackson. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and working with rental properties.
